Running in memory of Charlotte "Charlie" Gilbert
Welcome to my personal page, and thank you for supporting me in the PHight against Pulmonary Hypertension (PH)! I am running in memory of my good friend Charlotte "Charlie" Gilbert. A beautiful, kind and caring soul, that recently passed away much too soon. Anyone that knew Charlie will agree she was full of so much love and light, had a wicked sense of humor and would do anything for those she loved.
I first met Charlie at an industry event back in 2008 and instantly knew we would be lifelong friends. We both shared the same wicked sense of humour, a desire to enjoy life to the fullest and a passion to be unapologetically ourselves. Charlie and Brian welcomed me into their home and their hearts and became family to me.
Charlie had so much energy, spirit and love, for life and for those that were dear to her. Like many others, the past 24 hours have been filled with much sadness and many tears. Today as I scroll back through memories, I am filled with a warmth in my heart knowing that I was blessed to spend so many special moments and create unforgettable memories with her and Brian.
I will hold onto these memories for the rest of my life and I will always smile and chuckle at the many shenanigans we got into. Charlie please know that you have had such an incredible impact on my life. You will always be in my heart and I will continue to be inspired by the beautiful and kind spirit you were, one of the strongest and most determined people I have ever met.
RIP my dear friend... until we meet again. XO
PH can affect anyone of any age, and it is a chronic and life-changing disease that can lead to right heart failure if left untreated. The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) is focused on extending and improving the lives of those affected by PH. Your donation will support that very work in a variety of ways including research for new treatments, resources for patient support groups and access to conferences and symposiums for patients and PH medical professionals.
Please consider making a donation to my page, and thank you for all you do to help PHA advance its vision of a world without PH, empowered by hope.
