The Phighting for a Cure team is running and raising funds for Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) research and patient support in honor of Missy Rizzo. Missy left us far too young, just 36. If you didn’t know her, trust that you would’ve loved her. Missy was warm and witty; super smart, determined and accomplished; she was kind, selfless and generous. She didn’t like to be front and center but she deserved to be. She was a runner until PH stripped that of her; she was an avid sports fan; and she to loved have fun – I can thankfully still hear her genuine laugh. We were blessed to have Missy in our lives, she is greatly missed.

Please join our team for this year’s event as we run (or walk) to raise funds to ultimately find a cure so that we one day achieve a world without PH.  

PH can affect anyone of any age, and it is a chronic and life-changing disease that can lead to heart failure. The Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) is focused on extending and improving the lives of those affected by PH.
